Our Story

Since 1994, Arbonaut has been transforming the way the world understands and manages forests. Our journey began with a bold leap: in 1998, we developed the world's first forest inventory tools capable of detection individual trees from aerial and satellite imagery. This spirit of innovation has guided us ever since.

Over the years, we have continued to blend remote sensing technologies with advanced analytics to provide reliable insights into forest ecosystems. In 2024, we proudly celebrated our 30th anniversary—a milestone in our long‑standing commitment to innovation.

In 2022, MW Group became a co-owner of Arbonaut and acquired majority ownership in 2024, enhancing our reach and capabilities in scaling, diversifying, and delivering sustainable forest solutions worldwide.
