A Newsletter from the Nordic Development Fund, in Nepal, the Finnish firm Arbonaut and Oxfam Nepal will run a set of public-private initiatives designed to boost the climate resilience of urban districts vulnerable to hazards such as flooding.

Welcome to meet Arbonaut's representatives in the Finnish pavilloin during Sinal bioeconomy exposition in Châlons-en-Champagne, France during 24th and 25th of May.

The 21st session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC (COP21) will take place from Monday, 30 November to Friday, 11 December 2015 at Le Bourget, France. The Paris Climate Conference is expected to make an international legally binding and universal agreement on climate. The Global Landscape Forum will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 5-6 December 2015 at La Palais des Congres de Paris, 2 place de la Porte Maillot 75017 Paris. Arbonaut will host a Landscapes Lab Station there over those two days. Arbonaut will show case the Lidar-Assisted MultisourceProgramme (LAMP) to support REDD+ strategy, forest reference emission levels and MRV processes in developing countries. Arbonaut thas been selected as one of the companies on Fast Track Bio Growth Path Programme. The programme aims to open up various views to bioeconomy and it seleced a few companies to their programme to spur their business further. The selected companies represented not only views of bioeconomy but as well they were estimated being scalable with high potential of growth abroad. They were seen to to carry modern way to think among bioeconomy in developing plastic replacements, renewable energy, timber building, and welfare services.

Connection to bioeconomy was not the only link between the selected companies. International growth and service and / or product replicability and uniqueness were also company features respected. Also company team's skills and devotion to the growth and development were weighed.

Arbonaut's next aim is to expand the business from project based work to continuous service business in the current operating countries.

The programme starts 7th October in Joensuu, Finland, and continues on 28th October in Seinäjoki. The winner(s) are announced in 3rd November in Jyväskylä. The best two candidates continue to the nationwide Kasvu Open 2016 -competition.
